You know when I first started blogging, I really really loved it. I was on the computer almost 24/7 (seriously I was up until like 3am every night..err morning) trying to get my blog just right, re-designing my blog and everything. Then I had a mid-life blogging crisis which all of us go through thinking about deleting my blog or just not writing any new posts. Recently I've really started to think about doing that except I can't. I can never stay away because I had disappointing others and I love the feedback I get from others even if blogging dominates my life.
I went back and remembered why I wanted to start this blog and what it could do for others. I wanted to educate people on teen parenting, single mom life, abusive relationships, etc etc. but since then, I have turned 20 so no longer a teen, I am now married like most of you bloggers, and am in a great relationship (duh!) so what do I write about? What can I educate you about that others don't?
I wish to be more creative with my writing and really be a place where people want to come read and get excited for the next post, not just coming to the blog thinking they will see the same thing they always do.
So, my question to you is what do you want to hear about on my blog?
What do you like to read about?
I know it's MY blog, but right now I'm stuck in a rut and don't want to give up blogging. It may take a little while for me to figure out a new kind of rhythm but bare with me :)
...and in not so serious news...
Mr. Charming and I went to eat at a place called Wasabi last weekend for Valentine's Day (yes, he's wearing a tie and dress shirt that handsome fellow). It was our first date since we've been in Virginia and it was very nice to have a night to ourselves while Little One had a babysitter that we both trusted. Wasabi is a Hibachi and Sushi place and it was delicious except the people at are table were really shady/rude so that kind of ruined the experience but it was still nice! Next time we go there we want to bring a whole group because it would just be hilarious and fun. After that Mr. Charming took me to see THE VOW...THE VOW PEOPLE! It's a chick flick and even Mr. Charming enjoyed it. It is based on a true story and I love how real it was. It wasn't too hollywood. It was a great story!

I know exactly how you feel girl. I started my blog as an outlet for deployment woes when Mr was gone..much like every other milspouse blogger out there haha. Now that he's home I've kinda lost my creativity for blogging topics. I'm working on it and going through a transition phase I think!
I love coming to your blog b/c I know there's cute pics of your little lady and honest, everyday real life posts that are relatable :)
You blog is adorable and so are you! Just continue to be real with your posts and DO YOU! Maybe even share more of the things that keep you inspired on a daily! Love your blog!;)
Oh we have a Wasabi like 5 minutes from us lol I love that place but I haven't been in forever!! You're like the 3rd person who has made a post like this today and honestly I just say blog about what YOU feel like blogging about. I remember back on one of my old blogs (I think Little Sugar Monster haha) I asked this from my readers and I found it really hard to blog about what they suggested so my answer to these will always be just blog about what you love blogging about or you're not going to like blogging very much in my opinion. I know how you feel though, I feel like I do the same thing everyday so it gets kind of boring to blog after a while lol. I need to find something to inspire me I guess. ;P
Love, Jazmyn♥
just blog about your life with your little one, i say! that's more than enough to keep me reading... :)
i live near a place called wassabi..
i live in oregon though..
it's one of my favorite restaurants!

I feel like I have that same issue with my blog. Sometimes I feel like I post too much personal stuff, sometimes too much beauty stuff... I think reading about your perspective on daily life is really refreshing. Life is beautiful and unique and so is your view of it! :-)
i think many people can relate to this post girl- everyone has little 'mid life crisis' esp with the blog but knowing that you can do WHATEVER you want and WRITE whatever you want is a great feeling :) xo
I think I'm in the same place as well with my blog. I'm a new reader to your so I don't really have any input. You have a great blog though.
Oh girl, sometimes I feel the same way! Honestly, just look at your blog as your own electronic journal with pictures and it'll all be worth it to you. Think of all the wonderful memories you're recording! Honestly, I love just reading about you and your cute family and how things are going--whether they're going great or you're struggling with something. It really feels like I'm there with you. Hope this helps! <3
peaks and valleys... that seems to be the trend for every part of life! :) I hope all is well and you find a way out of the rut. I know you will.
A blog that has a personal touch but is still exciting and inspirational is what attracts me.
So while I would say continue sharing parts of your life and personal stuff, try to keep it to the things that excite you, the things that make you smile or are passionate about. A new activity with your little one, a sweet suprise, a hard day that you turned around...the things that hit a chord with others - the ones that people read feeling inspired or thoughtful. Just my 2 cents :)
I've definitely had the whole mid-life blogging crisis thing too, but for some reason, I can't bring myself to stop. :)
I love reading about y'alls everyday life and honestly whatever it is that you want to talk about! I totally agree with the comment about treating your blog as an electronic journal. That's what I do, I just post whenever I have something that I want to remember whether it's 3 months from now or in a few years. Hopefully you find your perfect medium of blogging ;)
Aah, I want to see The Vow so badly but I think I'm going to wait until I can just watch it at home and can cry in peace, haha.
He is so sweet to go see the vow with you, Brooke! And sweet girl I love your blog. I don't feel like I read the same thing over and over here. I would love to hear more personal stuff but I know that's hard and it's not something everyone wants to put out there on the www for everyone to read. Myself included. So don't give up because you are in a rut. Just take a step back and it'll come to you!
I was exactly the same way when I started blogging and was on 24/7 too...and up until 3 or 4AM, completely know that! :)
I too love the feedback I get from others and am just amazed at how supportive the blogging community really is...I have met so many wonderful people in blogland, like yourself, and it really has become a new passion of mine in a different way than it ever was and an outlet for myself as well!
Personally, I love blogs like yours because you are always so open and honest, which is refreshing and keeps everything down to earth and real! I truly love all your posts and seeing the pictures of your adventures and beautiful family and just what you are up to!
Just glad you are still at it and letting us all be a part of your journey and to gather inspiration form time to time! Yay! :)
I think honesty and transparency is a beautiful thing. Talking about you and your life and what it is today is insuring enough...and maybe a little helpful as well. I know when I can just get my thoughts out, it helps me weed through them all.
I do think I need some tips on how you got your prince charming to see the Vow with you! HAHA my husband said he was going to steer clear of that one.
XOXO
I have been feeling this stress lately too....and it has really been wearing me down! I am so glad I came and read this tonight! Just what I needed to hear! I love everything you write about hun! I love when you share your heart of course!
I love your hair !
I just found you... and I hope you stick around and ditto what Jenni said :)
You know I LOVE your blog :) I would love to hear more about your passion for design, you always find the best links on Wednesday Wishes.... You have a knack for finding really unique things and sharing them!
